Outpatient therapy helps Mrs. Jones build her self worth

Outpatient therapy helps Mrs. Jones build her self worth

Mrs. Jones is the mother of five children, loves to crochet, and owns her own business where she sells the items she makes. Mrs. Jones has suffered years of trauma and depression with little to no support or treatment. She experienced neglect as a child and was often left with family and neighbors. She was sexually abused between the ages of 5 to 12 years old, and witnessed frequent domestic violence from her mother’s partners. Mrs. Jones is also a domestic violence survivor from her own previous marriage.

Mrs. Jones struggles with implementing boundaries and vocalizing her needs within her relationships, leading to depressive episodes, lack of self-care, low mood, negative self-talk and anxious thoughts. Regular outpatient therapy has helped Mrs. Jones establish coping mechanisms to manage depressive and anxious symptoms. She has made significant progress in being able to establish boundaries within her relationships and finding ways to make herself a priority. Her clothing designs were recently featured in a fashion show, proving how much her motivation has increased.

‘Thank you for helping me find my self-worth and teaching me to speak up for myself…now I know what I will and will not tolerate.’ Mrs. Jones.
