As Thompson recognizes National Foster Care Month, we highlight the increased need for foster homes in North Carolina, particularly teens experiencing behavioral difficulties.
TFCO is a fostering option that differs from the traditional model of foster care. The program centers around treatment and targeted therapy for both the youth and family – this strengthens long term success.
Past trauma is a common issue for many who deal with mental health issues, and Thompson programs such as TFCO address past traumas in a way that allow can help youth to conquer such challenges.
