Immediate need for strong accounting professional. Must have knowledge of the accounts payable process, account reconciliation, general ledger and the accounting cycle. Foster Care Licensing/Training /Recruitment Specialist: Wendover Road Campus – Charlotte NC

The Foster Care Licensing/Training specialist will oversee and maintain Foster Parent licenses and assures agency meets accreditation requirements and standards in addition to enhancing recruitment, retention and outreach services to families, custodial counties, communities and collateral contacts. This position will also assist in the training and onboarding of new foster parents by teaching MAPP classes as well as facilitating other training opportunities to develop foster parent's skills and knowledge in creating a trauma-informed treatment environment in their home. Successful candidate must meet Qualified Professional Status: bachelor’s degree in a human service related field + 2 years of post-bachelor’s population specific experience; OR bachelor’s degree in a non-human service related field + 4 years of post-bachelor’s population specific experience; OR master’s degree in a human service related field + 1 year of post-graduate population specific experience. Candidate must have at least 2 years of training experience and knowledge of the Foster Care licensing processes, rules, and service definitions relative to training requirements for foster parents. Thompson Connect Wraparound Facilitator:  St. Peter’s Lane Campus - Matthews, NC

Thompson, located in the Charlotte/Matthews area, has an opening for a position in a new short-term residential and community based program working with adolescent females ages 12-17.  The Thompson Connect Wraparound Facilitator will provide leadership in engaging high-need youth and their teams in developing, implementing and monitoring an intensive individualized care plan using the phases of the High Fidelity Wraparound Process.  This includes helping the team develop a natural support system, working on the development of an integrated plan, and establishing a strong relationship with the community. Works in collaboration with Wraparound Coach Supervisor and Youth Partner to strengthen Wraparound Team rapport and overcome challenges.  The Facilitator will facilitate Child and Family Team meetings.  Qualifications include: Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services related field, Master’s Degree preferred, at least two years of experience providing services to children and families, knowledge of community resources, experience with different systems (school, mental health, or juvenile justice), experience facilitating small groups preferably with multiple system involvement, and willingness to complete the HFW Coaching and Training credentialing.  Must be able to work a flexible schedule to meet the needs of families.  Valid NC driver’s license and clean driving record required. Thompson Connect Youth Partner:  St. Peter’s Lane Campus - Matthews, NC

Thompson, located in the Charlotte/Matthews area, has an opening for a position in a new short-term residential and community based program working with adolescent females ages 12-17.  The Youth Partner (YP) must have experience in engaging and communicating with youth on a level that provides support to the recovery process and to achieve positive outcomes. The YP will educate youth, families, providers, and the community about the Wraparound process and services; role model effective behavior for the youth to show a pattern of having heathy relationships with others; help the youth learn self-advocacy skills to articulate talents and strengths; show positive and healthy responses to stress and conflict, and demonstrate positive social skills indicative of a role model.  The Youth Partner must be committed to forming relationships with the youth or young adults they work with and capable of being patient, culturally aware, and respectful. YP must be willing to complete NC Your Move Leadership Series and the National Peer-to-Peer (P2P) Support curriculum as well as Vroon VDB Coaching and Training credentialing in the first year of employment.  Qualifications include: Life experience as a beneficiary of mental health or substance abuse services: AND a Bachelor’s Degree in a Human Services field; OR Associate’s Degree in a Human Services field from an accredited school AND one year of experience working with children/adolescents/transition age youth; OR a high school diploma or GED and a minimum of four years of experience working with children/adolescents/transition age youth.  Must be able to work a flexible schedule to meet the needs of families. Residential Coordinator:  St. Peter’s Lane Campus - Matthews, NC

Thompson, located in the Charlotte/Matthews area, has an opening for a challenging position working with adolescent females ages 12-17 in a new short-term residential treatment program.  The Residential Coordinator will provide guidance, support and mentoring to adolescent females including assisting with transitional living skills and daily functioning and shall oversee the daily operations of the residential program.  Supervisor shall assist in coordination of care, staffing patterns, budgets, and environments that support the treatment philosophy.  Duties include supervising Residential Advisors, as well as working as part of a multidisciplinary team to provide the best care possible for the adolescents in the program.  Master’s Degree in a Human Services field with a minimum of two years of experience working with adolescent females, or Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of four years supervisory experience and two years of experience working with adolescent females.  Additionally, candidates must have the ability to work 2nd shift and weekends. Foster Care Director:  Wendover Rd Campus - Charlotte, NC

Thompson is seeking a dynamic, driven, goal-oriented human services professional as Foster Care Director. The position will involve overseeing, supporting, monitoring and facilitating the day-to-day operations of Thompson's growing Foster Care department. This position will also include recruiting new foster parents and championing the cause of foster care throughout the region. This position will be multi-layered: supervising and managing staff, educating and training foster parents, establishing relationships with key players in the community, and being the face both internally and externally of the Thompson Foster Care program. The candidate should be an encouraging and positive leader but also someone who can create and execute a tangible action plan to achieve department goals.

Required education and skills: Master's Degree in Human Services preferred but not required. Experience providing or overseeing foster care services highly recommended. Leadership/management experience. Experience with Mecklenburg County/Cardinal Innovations and North Carolina mental health system, authorization systems, out-of-home placement providers, etc. would all be an asset. Contract Outpatient Therapist:  Wendover Rd Campus - Charlotte, NC

Thompson is looking for a contract Therapist to provide mental health services in an outpatient setting in Charlotte, NC. Contract Therapists are expected to provide comprehensive clinical assessments, case management as needed, and individual, family, and group therapy utilizing evidence-based theories. Qualified candidates will also need strong documentation & time management skills. Ideal contractor will be empaneled with several different commercial insurance carriers and MCO’s. Certification or training in an evidence-based treatment model such as TF-CBT, DBT, EMDR, etc is a plus. Candidate must be available to work a flexible schedule, possibly to include some evenings. Behavior Intervention Specialist - Union County:  Clanton Road Campus - Charlotte, NC

The Behavior Support Specialist will be responsible for providing classroom support, modelling strategies, administering initial screenings, developing support plans, providing training and technical assistance to families and Early Childhood Professionals; and submitting monthly reports and documentation. The ideal candidate will have experience with providing behavior and inclusion support for children with varying needs. Duties will include medication administration, record keeping, responding to client medical needs. The RN is responsible for working directly with the physician, psychiatrist, and nurse practitioner to provide professional nursing care. Candidate must be a graduate from an accredited School of Nursing and have current licensure to practice as an RN, or temporary license as a RN Practitioner in the state of NC.
